The cornerstone of the inaugural TIS edifice on Developer Road in Kolkata was laid by Mr. Stephan Chubukov in 1949, serving as the Vice President of TIS at that time. Operating as a non-profit, non-proprietary organization dedicated to educational excellence, the TIS Society boasts a wealth of experience spanning over six decades. Through its commitment to providing education to a diverse community, the society actively contributes to individual, community, and national advancement.

The TIS Society upholds the belief in a universal educational program that embraces respect for various cultures, beliefs, communities, and societies. With a widespread presence of 220 schools nationally and 20 globally (including the USA, Kuwait, Sharjah, Doha, Dubai, Nepal, and Indonesia), the society extends its reach across 20 states and 44 cities in India and 12 countries.
